  • How to select the right stocks for the strategy.
  • How to manage the trade.
  • How to compute returns on both margin and principal, and how to annualize your returns.
  • Trades offered for your consideration will range from around $20 to around $100, sometimes a bit more per share. Trades available at each price vary; however, it is possible to create one or more positions daily, provided you have sufficient funds.
  • Most brokers require a margin of 20% of the cost needed to buy shares per option sold. It can vary. For example, one known broker requires margin of only 15% on accounts over $100,000.
  • The length of trades varies. Trades average 17 days, but some trades may last longer during the two months of guidance, you will see why certain strategies are used, and you will realize that, if handled properly, you will be trading profitably.
  • You should be able to follow the strategy using any stockbroker. If you need a broker referral, Trading Educators can recommend one.
  • You can always “paper trade” what does not fit you account size: we recommend not to take positions exceeding 50% of your available cash in terms of underlying value. For instance, if you sell 1 XYZ 10P, with an underlying value of 10*100 = 1000$, do not sell more than 5 puts (or 50% of 10 000$ = 5000$) initially.
  • You can probably take all debit spreads trades we give from time to time
  • There are ways to limit margin requirements for the trades you take by buying cheap protection (i.e. buying a further out of the money put that will limit your margin requirements/total risk in the trade)
  • You may be required to put up full margin on some of the strategies. However, don't worry about that, because even with putting up full margin, the strategies make much more money than you can get from your bank, a money-market mutual fund, or from government bonds and notes.
  • You may have to receive permission from your broker to make the transactions from an IRA account. Some have told us they are able to trade the strategie from their IRA account.

What if I only have $10,000 to trade?

YES, you can do it, but you will be limited in the number of positions you will be able to take initially, the time for you account to grow.  However:

IMPORTANT!  If you intend to participate in the program using an IRA or any controlled pension plan, there are two things you need to know:

• You may be required to put up full margin on some of the strategies.  However, don't worry about that, because even with putting up full margin, the strategies make much more money than you can get from your bank, a money-market mutual fund, or from government bonds and notes.
• You may have to receive permission from your broker to make the transactions from an IRA account.  Some have told us they are able to trade the strategies from their IRA account.

What Do I Need?

All you need is Skype (it’s free at www.skype.com), together with a headset and microphone for communication.

When and How?

It really depends on your needs. By having my trading almost completely automated, I’m very flexible with my schedule. I usually recommend 3-4 one-hour sessions per week. This way there’s enough time between the lessons to digest and practice what you learned, and come up with new questions in the next session.

Between and after the sessions, you’ll be able to ask questions via email, so that you don’t have to wait if something is on your mind. Usually you’ll get an answer within 12 hours, often much faster. 

If you need some research, or want me to program and backtest a strategy, the complexity and exact needs of your request will shape the course of action.

In any case, it’s best to talk first.  A short, free pre-consultation call is available, which will help us to determine if my services fit your needs, and when and how we should start.

How Much Does it Cost?

I offer any of the above at a $200 per hour rate. Depending on your needs, this is negotiable to some degree if you take regular training, want to learn the basics, or schedule on a longer-term basis.

Andy's Bio

Andy Jordan made his first Options trade at the age of eighteen. Since then, he has been fascinated by the world of trading. In 2002, he met Joe Ross, and became interested in Spread trading. Andy was then intensively tutored by Joe Ross and other personnel at Trading Educators.

Over the years, his trading knowledge became more broadened by adding Options and Swing/Day Trading to his repertoire.  He successfully administered a Spread Trading daily newsletter called Traders Notebook.

Andy's trading philosophy is something he learned within his first year from Joe Ross and that was discipline makes all the difference in trading. A trader must be able to follow their trading plan 100% and therefore the trading plan, and all of its components, has to fit the trader's mentality.

“Simplicity” is the word that Andy feels it describes best for what you need to look for in trading. A simple trading approach doesn't give much room for mistakes or doubts and allows execution with trades following a very disciplined trading plan.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of this one-on-one private tutoring (Online or In-Person) session is to give you the information needed in order to survive in trading, and to learn to "get paid to trade," as I have always advocated.

In YOUR private training as a trader, I build the course around YOU and YOUR needs. My primary purpose is to provide you with a highly individualized program. Not only will you learn the important basics, as detailed in the Session’s Content section, but you will find answers that fit your individual needs.

In order to achieve that, prior to your session you will fill out a questionnaire in which your current position and specific background, goals, and objectives are addressed, so that I can build the training around you. I am also available for follow-up as needed.

SESSION CONTENT

You will learn to trade through understanding the truth in the markets, as well as my trading rationale. You will understand, and be able to apply, the two most important concepts in trading: "The Law of Charts," and "Market Dynamics."  You will be able to see and treat trading as a business, and will run your trading business as a successful business owner.

Regardless of what you trade, in any market, in any time frame, or using any kind of chart, your session may include any of the following based on what you want to learn:

• Trading strategies and tactics.
• How to properly use a trading method.
• Trade selection and how to find the right trades.
• Low-risk trade entries, and low-risk trading strategies.
• How to manage the trade after the entry, how to take profits, and how to set and manage stops.
• How, why, and when to use time stops.
• Why simulated and mechanical systems may not work.
• The truth about orders.
• Ordering tactics and strategies (which orders to use and when to use them).
• Trend versus congestion, and how to trade each of them.
• How to understand and handle gaps, inside bars, and reversal bars.
• The insiders’ advantages, and how to neutralize them.
• How to fade the public, the Gann traders, the Golden Ratio traders, and the Fibonacci traders.
• The “Trading Plan,” and how to use it in order to be an effective trader.
• The correct approach to trading in the markets.
• How to define and identify real risk, and how to trade with reduced risk.
• The need for simplicity in trading.
• Personal management and self-control in trading, and how to achieve both.
• How to be a successful manager of your trading business.
• How to handle the money, risk, and trade management you need to apply in trading.
• How to keep and effectively use a personal trading record.
• If your session includes spread trading, you will learn the secrets of spread trading and how to take advantage of the single greatest inefficiency in the market.
• If your session includes option trading, you will learn about the “Options Secret.”

You will be amazed by what I reveal about market movers, and you will discover what markets are all about in their pure simplicity. You deserve to understand these things, and thus shorten the time it takes to become a profitable trader.

• You will trade without influence of news, opinions, “expert’s” analysis, market theories, or even your own strong human emotions like greed, hope, fear, and worry. Your trading will be free of paradigms about relative terms such as “failures,” “retracements,” “support,” or “resistance.” “Overbought” and “oversold” will no longer be of any importance to you.
• You will take advantage of, and trade profitably with the insider knowledge described in Market Dynamics.
• You will trade with incredible confidence to act, which is even more important than the trading technique itself.

ATTENDANCE DETAILS

All private tutoring (Online or In-Person) sessions last as many days as your wants and your needs dictate (most are for three days). You are taught by me either Online or In-Person via the Internet. One day consists of six hours plus a lunch break.

I reserve only a certain number of days each month for personal teaching time, and the openings for private teaching are quickly booked. You need to plan well in advance. However, in cases of emergency, exceptions can usually be made.

INVESTMENT

The tuition for private tutoring is $2,000 per day.
